The Visionary Behind Wasserstoff
Christian Ogrinz, a dynamic producer and innovator, channels the essence of Wasserstoff into every project he undertakes. With a career beginning in 1982 at the age of nine, his artistic journey has been shaped by his experiences, including the challenges of his traumatic childhood and the empowerment of ADHD autism.
Infinite melodies, strong basslines, and light rhythms define his signature sound, while his strengths in team building, networking, and conceptual development ensure the successful realization of each project. Artistic collaborations have played a crucial role in his evolution, leading to unexpected discoveries across various disciplines, including music and visual arts.
Christian is currently preparing an immersive sound installation featuring 12 tracks distributed across 21 loudspeakers, collaborating with visual artists on three continents (Africa, Asia, Europe). The theme explores migration and arrival, injury and healing—a profound journey into the self.
His contributions to sound branding for ARTE and Westdeutscher Rundfunk exemplify his ability to deliver precision results. As the first composer to receive the ARD Radio Play Award for his exceptional sound design, Christian continues to redefine what it means to create compelling auditory experiences.
Communication
As a child, Christian Ogrinz often spent time in the homeland of his Yugoslavian family branch, where he learned to communicate without a common language. This experience taught him the art of code-switching, utilizing facial expressions and gestures, alongside patience and humor, to navigate and enrich creative processes.
